GBP/USD rebounds as traders eye 1.3500, EUR/USD steadies above 1.1500
Cable gains after a stronger dollar following weak US NFP data in July, while EUR/USD holds a constructive tone after reversing a prior decline.
Nordea analysts Kirsti Sunde Midttun and Ole Håkon Eek-Nielsen said doubts about AI profitability are growing, pointing to structural pressures such as high inference costs, faster model depreciation, and increasing competition from free and open alternatives, which they link to investor scepticism toward AI-related equities.
In FX trading, GBP/USD climbed to weekly peaks and headed toward the 1.3500 level, with FXStreet noting the pair’s strength into the week end as Cable picked up upside traction amid the Greenback’s firmer stance after July’s poor US NFP data.
EUR/USD reversed a Thursday decline and kept a constructive tone above 1.1500, according to FXStreet, as the US dollar absorbed a sharp correction while investors continued to assess the latest NFP prints.
