Perpetua finds new gold and tungsten targets at Idaho Stibnite project
The company said drilling between permitted Yellow Pine and West End areas turned up high-grade gold intervals and a new gold-tungsten discovery, with tungsten occurrences also showing up as scheelite.
Perpetua Resources said it identified new exploration targets at its Stibnite project in Idaho, including gold and antimony targets that the company believes could support extensions of currently permitted pits.
Mining.com reports Perpetua also flagged potential sources of tungsten after drilling, with results including a gold-tungsten intercept in the Clark Tunnel Fault Zone. The company added that additional scheelite, a tungsten-bearing mineral, has been observed in ongoing work there.
Perpetua said recent drilling between the Yellow Pine and West End reserve pits continues to reveal new mineralization, while widely spaced drilling and surface sampling at the Huckleberry Fault Zone returned broad gold intervals over a large width and strike length.
The company said these results support additional opportunities beyond current reserves, aimed at expanding its resources, including 3.1 million ounces of indicated and inferred gold resources and 99.8 million pounds of antimony resources located outside current reserves.
