Russia oil production rose to over 9 million bpd in July

Crude and condensate output increased by about 100,000 bpd from June, supported by stronger exports and a partial rebound in refinery runs.

Russia increased crude oil and condensate production in July to more than 9 million barrels per day, according to two industry sources cited by Reuters.

The sources said output rose by roughly 100,000 barrels per day from June, helped by stronger crude exports and recovering refinery runs that gave producers additional outlets for barrels.

Reuters also noted that oil and fuel sales remain key to Russia’s budget, which provides incentives to keep production flowing despite sanctions and attacks on energy infrastructure.

The report said Russia halted publishing official oil output figures years ago, leaving estimates based on OPEC data and anonymous sources, and it added that August disruptions may worsen if Ukrainian drone attacks force more refineries to suspend operations.
