Accredited picks Hellenic Hull as first dedicated ocean marine MGA partner

The delegated authority deal covers Hull & Machinery, Marine Cargo, and related marine risks, with Hellenic Hull set to underwrite a targeted portfolio for Accredited under agreed guidelines.

Accredited Insurance (Europe) Limited has entered a delegated authority partnership with Hellenic Hull Management to cover Hull & Machinery, ancillary marine risks, and Marine Cargo, positioning Hellenic Hull as the insurer’s first dedicated ocean marine MGA partner for those classes, according to Reinsurance News.

Hellenic Hull is a marine insurance management company specializing in Hull & Machinery coverage for all types of vessels, with more than three decades of experience focused on Greek and Cypriot shipowners, as well as selected international business.

Under the agreement, Hellenic Hull will underwrite a targeted portfolio of marine risks on behalf of Accredited, subject to agreed underwriting guidelines and individual risk assessment, with Accredited selecting the partner after a review of underwriting expertise, claims capabilities, governance, market relationships, and track record in delegated marine insurance.

Accredited said the arrangement supports its strategy of long term partnerships with specialist MGAs for its first dedicated Hull & Machinery and Marine Cargo program, while Hellenic Hull described the selection as a vote of confidence in its people, underwriting discipline, claims capabilities, and relationships with brokers and shipowners.
