Investors consider backing AI hedge fund Aschenbrenner after prior unwind

Silicon Valley investors are reportedly still exploring investments in the hedge fund run by AI investor Leopold Aschenbrenner, despite recent turmoil at Situational Awareness.

According to a report cited by Hedgeweek and attributed to Bloomberg, some backers are looking to put money into Aschenbrenner’s fund just days after Situational Awareness was forced to unwind heavily leveraged positions.

The coverage suggests the ongoing interest comes even as the earlier hedge-fund strain prompted a rapid reduction of leveraged exposure.
