Lincoln Financial names interim CFO after Neczypor exit
CFO Chris Neczypor will stay through the end of August, while Lincoln said it will consider internal and external candidates for a permanent replacement.
Lincoln Financial said its CFO, Chris Neczypor, is leaving the company to pursue an opportunity outside the insurance industry. Neczypor, who has served as CFO for the past three years, will remain with Lincoln through the end of August to support the transition, Coverager reports.
Adam Cohen, Lincoln’s chief accounting officer and treasurer, was named interim CFO effective immediately. Lincoln said it will consider internal and external candidates as it searches for a permanent replacement.
The management change comes as Lincoln continues reshaping its balance sheet and capital position. In a related update, Lincoln previously announced a reinsurance transaction with Talcott covering about $5.8 billion of guaranteed universal life statutory reserves, representing roughly 37% of its remaining in-force GUL block.
Lincoln also said it plans to resume share repurchases in the third quarter. Coverager notes Lincoln held its second-quarter 2026 earnings call on July 30.
