EverQuote forms partnership, takes minority stake in WaniWani
The companies plan to integrate WaniWani’s AI technology into EverQuote solutions for P&C carriers and insurance agents, extending brand and offer visibility into AI assistants and autonomous shopping tools.
EverQuote has entered an exclusive commercial partnership with WaniWani, while also making a strategic minority investment in the San Francisco startup, with financial terms not disclosed. The deal centers on WaniWani’s technology, which powers Tuio’s ChatGPT insurance app and is built to help companies distribute and convert customers through AI platforms.
WaniWani, founded in 2026, has around 13 employees and raised an $8 million seed round led by Seedcamp in June. Its tools focus on product discovery, conversion, analytics, and compliance, with support across AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
EverQuote said it plans to integrate WaniWani’s technology into its AI solutions for property and casualty carriers and insurance agents. The companies will also jointly develop products to improve how insurers’ brands, content, and offerings appear across AI assistants and autonomous shopping tools.
Coverager reports that EverQuote’s web traffic has been cut in half over the past year, and that the ChatGPT app is designed to help consumers browse coverage options and evaluate insurers without leaving the interface. EverQuote also reiterated its target to reach $1 billion in revenue in two to three years, and said it ended the quarter debt-free with $146 million in cash after repurchasing 900,000 shares for $21 million.
