Friedman Real Estate completes onboarding of 1.2M SF Illinois portfolio
The transition, completed during the first half of 2026, covers retail, office, and industrial properties and includes 290,000 square feet on Michigan Avenue.
Friedman Real Estate said it has successfully completed the onboarding and transition of a 1.2 million-square-foot commercial real estate portfolio across Illinois during the first half of 2026.
The portfolio spans retail, office, and industrial assets, including a 290,000-square-foot property on Michigan Avenue, along with properties in communities such as Highland Park, Northbrook, Evanston, and Downers Grove.
ConnectCRE reports the company used operational and financial reporting systems, coordinated with vendors, communicated with tenants, ran compliance reviews, and set property-specific management strategies intended to support asset performance and long-term ownership goals.
Friedman said the Illinois transition further strengthens its presence across Midwest markets including Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin, and quoted Karin Meier as tying the growth to delivering results and responsive service.
