Hong Kong parents can submit school flu vaccine consent via eHealth

Authorities will issue school specific QR codes on Wednesday, activated Monday in the eHealth app for electronic consent submission.

Hong Kong authorities will streamline parental paperwork for children’s seasonal flu vaccinations by letting parents submit electronic consent forms through the city’s eHealth mobile app starting Monday, according to SCMP Economy.

The Centre for Health Protection said a digital consent system will be introduced for the coming school year, aiming to reduce manual form entry and errors. The Department of Health will begin issuing specific QR codes to schools starting on Wednesday for parents to use.

Parents will be able to scan the activated, school unique QR codes through the eHealth app on Monday to complete and submit the electronic consent forms for their children. Officials urged parents not to share the QR codes beyond the enrolled students at each institution.
