MiTAC commits to second phase of nearly 470K-SF Fremont campus
MiTAC has already leased the first three buildings at the Bayside campus, with construction nearing completion, signaling demand from AI hardware server manufacturers.
ConnectCRE reports that a unit of Taiwan-based MiTAC Holdings Corp. has committed to the second phase of its Bayside campus in Fremont, a development totaling nearly 470,000 square feet.
The Phase II portion of the project has not yet started construction, but MiTAC’s server manufacturing business has already leased the campus’s first three buildings, which are nearing completion, according to ConnectCRE.
ConnectCRE also notes that Fremont has been a key market for advanced manufacturing leasing, with the city accounting for 75% of Silicon Valley’s advanced manufacturing leasing activity last year, and that MiTAC continues to expand its footprint.
The story links the leasing momentum to rising investment behind AI and cloud computing, citing Gartner’s forecast that global technology spending will reach nearly $6.4 trillion in 2026, up 14.2% year-over-year.
