PCAOB swears in Kyle S. Hauptman as new board member
The swearing-in follows PCAOB consultation on a 2026–30 strategic plan, with comments due by September 4, 2026.
The US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) has sworn in Kyle S. Hauptman as a board member following a ceremony at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to Yahoo Finance.
PCAOB chairman Demetrios Logothetis said Hauptman previously served as chairman of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), after an appointment by President Donald J. Trump and Senate confirmation in December 2020, with Hauptman elevated to NCUA chairman in January 2025.
Logothetis added that before joining the NCUA, Hauptman worked as an economic policy adviser to Senator Tom Cotton and as staff director for the Senate Banking Committee subcommittee on economic policy, with earlier experience at the American Enterprise Institute, Jefferies and Co., and Lehman Brothers.
Hauptman said he is honored to join the PCAOB and intends to work with colleagues to strengthen capital markets, while the PCAOB’s public consultation on proposed 2026–30 strategic plan goals remains open until September 4, 2026.
