SCMP signs MOUs in Malaysia to deepen Hong Kong-Asean ties

The agreements were signed during Hong Kong’s largest Malaysia delegation under the “Think Business, Think Hong Kong” campaign.

The South China Morning Post has signed three memorandums of understanding in Kuala Lumpur aimed at deepening regional cooperation and acting as a bridge between Hong Kong and the wider Asean region, according to the SCMP Economy.

SCMP publisher Tammy Tam signed the MOUs with the Southeast Asian Futures Initiative Centre, Star Media Group Berhad, publisher of The Star, and the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong & Macau) Limited, or MayCham.

The deals were carried out as part of Hong Kong’s biggest delegation to Malaysia to date under the Trade Development Council’s “Think Business, Think Hong Kong” flagship campaign, with Director of Information Services John Tse Chun-chung joining other representatives at the signing ceremony.

The SCMP Economy said the partnerships are intended to amplify regional perspectives, enhance mutual understanding, and advance forward-looking economic thought leadership across Asia.
