Root integrates with The Zebra to deliver real-time quotes
Root says the setup lets The Zebra users generate Root quotes and bind policies in as little as three minutes, with Root also quoting through the Jerry app.
Root Insurance announced a technology partnership with The Zebra, integrating the two platforms so consumers shopping on The Zebra can receive Root insurance quotes in real time and then move directly into Root’s digital experience to customize coverage and purchase a policy.
The Zebra’s agents will also be able to generate instant Root quotes, then bridge to Root’s platform to finalize applications and bind policies in as little as three minutes, according to the companies.
Root’s deal is positioned as a faster path from quote to purchase as insurance shoppers and agents increasingly expect digital convenience, with Root highlighting “speed, precision, and convenience” in the integration.
The partnership comes after Root reported net income of $25 million for the quarter, up 15% year over year, and the company said users will be able to receive quotes and buy coverage from Root without leaving the Jerry app.
