Zimmet Law Group signs lease for space at 515 Madison Avenue
Zimmet will occupy a 5,476-square-foot office at GFP Real Estate’s DuMont Building later this year, after previously operating from 477 Madison Avenue.
Zimmet Law Group is relocating its Manhattan practice within the Plaza District, signing a 5,476-square-foot lease at GFP Real Estate’s 515 Madison Avenue, also known as the DuMont Building.
The 42-story office tower sits at the corner of East 53rd Street, about one block south of Zimmet’s prior location at RFR Holding’s 477 Madison Avenue. Zimmet’s practice areas include matrimonial and family law, along with real estate matters, according to the lease announcement.
GFP said Zimmet is expected to take occupancy later this year after the new space is completed. While asking rent for the nearly 10-year lease term was not disclosed, Midtown office asking rents averaged $88.5 per square foot in the second quarter of 2026, based on Cushman & Wakefield data cited by the outlet.
The move comes as GFP has been updating its position at the DuMont Building, taking full ownership earlier this year after an $86.5 million refinancing with Apple Bank that allowed it to buy out ATCO Properties & Management’s remaining 40 percent stake. Commercial Observer also noted GFP had secured 12,000 square feet of new leasing activity by late February and announced an additional 9,000 square feet of deals in late July, with other tenants including Whitebox and Manhattan Psychiatry Group.
