adesso acquires omni:us to expand AI claims automation
The acquisition adds omni:us capabilities that support processing more than one million claims annually and will be integrated into adesso’s in|sure Ecosphere platform used by more than 50 customers.
German IT services and insurance software provider adesso has acquired Berlin-based omni:us, an AI-powered claims automation company.
Financial terms were not disclosed. omni:us, founded in 2015, has raised $56.5 million across eight funding rounds, and its headcount has fallen from a peak of 59 to 45 employees.
The company provides no-touch automation for standardized claims and an agentic copilot for more complex cases, using technology that analyzes claims data, applies insurance-specific logic, and produces traceable outputs that integrate with insurers’ core systems.
adesso plans to integrate omni:us into its in|sure Ecosphere, a core insurance platform used by more than 50 customers, to deliver embedded automation across claims, underwriting, and other insurance workflows. The acquisition also includes a plan for a controlled layer where insurers can deploy their own or third-party AI agents, while omni:us supports processing of more than one million claims annually.
