Atrium appoints John Pilkington as Chief Capital Officer
The newly created CCO role will focus on sourcing external capital and structuring solutions to back Atrium’s five-year transformation plan and related underwriting growth.
Atrium, a specialty insurer at Lloyd’s, has appointed London Market veteran John Pilkington as Chief Capital Officer, a newly created role tied to the insurer’s five-year transformation agenda.
Pilkington will be responsible for sourcing external capital and managing the structuring of complex capital solutions to support the company’s long-term growth and strategic execution. The company said the role is designed to strengthen its capital strategy as it advances its broader plans.
Atrium also said it has already attracted significant underwriting capital for Syndicate 2026, which launched on 1/1, and intends to broaden its portfolio through new lines of business.
The company noted that Pilkington brings 38 years of experience, joining from Ascot where he served as Executive Underwriter for Syndicate 1414, after earlier roles at Barbican Syndicate 1955 and QBE.
