Nintendo shares jump after Pokémon Pokopia sales top 5 million
CNBC World said Nintendo has also been dealing with rising memory prices that contributed to a Switch 2 console price increase.
Nintendo shares rose after the company said sales of its new game, Pokémon Pokopia, topped 5 million units, according to CNBC World.
The outlet also linked the stock move to broader cost pressures for Nintendo, saying the company has been grappling with rising memory prices.
CNBC World reported that those higher memory costs led Nintendo to raise prices of its Switch 2 console, which launched just over a year ago.
