SoftBank adds Capital One stake and cuts Taiwan Semi holding
In filings covering the quarter ended June 30, SoftBank bought $55.5 million of Capital One shares and sold $269.8 million worth of its Taiwan Semiconductor stake.
Softbank Group has disclosed new US investments and a major reduction in another holding in filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, according to Reuters as republished by Yahoo Finance.
For the quarter ended June 30, Softbank reported it acquired 276,811 shares of Capital One, valued at $55.5 million, and also bought a 10,718 share stake in Life360, which it valued at $488,500.
In the same period, Softbank sold 1.4 million shares of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, representing 71.5% of its stake in the company, for $269.8 million.
The SEC requires institutional investors to report their holdings as of the end of each calendar quarter, and the disclosures were made in those quarterly reports.
