Lev expands pet insurance tie-up with Healthy Paws via license
Lev says it now has a personal lines property and casualty agency license and will offer a 10% discount on new Healthy Paws policies.
Dog-walking rewards app Lev has taken a step toward insurance distribution, obtaining a personal lines property and casualty agency license while continuing its existing pet insurance partnership with Healthy Paws, according to Coverager.
Lev, founded in 2022 and led by CEO Igor Gourari, lets dog owners track walks, find dog-friendly locations, and earn Bones redeemable for discounts on pet products. The company says it serves more than 50,000 dog owners and lists over 80,000 dog-friendly locations across the US and Canada.
In June, Lev added the ability to get a Healthy Paws pet insurance quote through its app. Coverager also reports that members insured through the partnership earn twice as many Bones, and the companies are enhancing the deal with a 10% discount on new pet insurance policies.
Lev operates a Shopify marketplace where participating brands receive full payment while Lev funds the walking-based discounts. Coverager said the effort is part of a broader push to create accessible pathways for pet rescue and care, and it noted that DogPack users in the US will access pet insurance options within the app.
