SafetyCulture rebrands as Mitti to expand into operations and insurance

The company says users generate 19% lower claims costs and a 9% better loss ratio, and Mitti Insurance has nearly $200 million in cumulative gross written premium in Australia.

Australian workplace operations platform SafetyCulture has rebranded as Mitti, calling it the biggest transformation in its history as the company expands beyond workplace safety management.

Mitti says its platform is being positioned as an all-in-one operations system covering software, hardware, consumables and insurance, with tools for inspections, maintenance, training, quality issues and operational risk. The company also outlined new AI capabilities, including site benchmarking, agents that monitor operations and handle routine tasks, and an assistant that identifies patterns and recommends improvements.

In insurance, Mitti says policyholders using its platform generate 19% lower claims costs and a 9% better loss ratio than non-users, based on its core insurance portfolio for the 2025 accident year. The company added it has written nearly $200 million in cumulative gross written premium in Australia and is licensed across 51 US states and jurisdictions.

The branding builds on earlier insurance moves: in 2020, SafetyCulture and QBE launched a joint venture called Mitti Insurance, and SafetyCulture acquired QBE's stake in 2023 before rebranding that business as SafetyCulture Care. The company says SafetyCulture Care has returned to the Mitti Insurance name, and its insurance subsidiary is partnered with Employers, while SafetyCulture Care MGA is working to secure new underwriting capacity and partnerships to expand into the US and UK.
