Mattamy revenue falls in fiscal Q4, orders surge 40%
The Toronto homebuilder cut closings but raised net sales orders, with backlog down 20% as it converted prior demand into deliveries.
Mattamy Group Corporation reported a 17.9% year over year decline in fiscal fourth quarter 2026 revenue to $2.18 billion, alongside a 10.4% drop in homes closed to 3,143 units, HousingWire reported.
At the same time, the company said net sales orders jumped 40% to 2,532 homes. Sales order backlog decreased 20% to 3,147 units, reflecting continued conversion of earlier orders into deliveries.
For the full year ended May 31, 2026, Mattamy’s revenue slipped 7.9% to $5.90 billion, while closings fell 2.3% to 8,261 homes. Net sales orders rose 8.6% to 7,474 homes.
HousingWire noted the results show pressure on delivery and revenue timing despite improving order momentum, consistent with affordability and mortgage-rate constraints affecting closings even as demand for new construction remained supported.
