Pinion adds executives to expand finance and accounting team
The London-headquartered specialty insurer, formed earlier this year, named Kathryn Edwards Group Controller, Brock Werner US Treasurer and James Green Finance Systems Lead.
Pinion Insurance, a London-headquartered specialty insurance carrier formed earlier this year, announced three additions to its executive leadership team focused on finance and accounting. The company appointed Kathryn Edwards as Group Controller, Brock Werner as US Treasurer and Financial Planning and Analysis, and James Green as Finance Systems Lead.
The new hires will report to Chris Jones, Group Chief Financial Officer. Edwards joins Pinion from Lloyd’s of London, where she served as Chief Accountant and oversaw core finance activities including external reporting, financial control, planning and analysis, capital management, treasury, and investor relations.
Werner joins Pinion from Old Republic International in Chicago, bringing more than two decades of insurance experience, including serving as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for insurance operations. The company said he directed corporate insurance accounting operations, managed corporate entities including internal reinsurance, and led the financial systems team.
Pinion said Green is a London-based Chartered Accountant and finance automation developer joining from Great Lakes Insurance SE, with expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end automated solutions for finance operations. Reinsurance News reported that Pinion views the appointments as support for growth and its goal of bridging managing general agents and capital providers with disciplined capacity.
