Standard Life launches AI coach for homebuying questions
The AI tool is available via Standard Life’s Homebuyer Hub platform, and it went live as part of a transaction completed in April 2026 covering 1,584 members.
UK retirement specialist Standard Life has launched an AI-powered coach designed to answer customer questions about buying a home, available through its Homebuyer Hub digital platform developed with UK fintech Life Moments.
Customers can ask about topics including deposits, affordability and mortgages, and can provide details such as salary or deposit amount to receive more tailored explanations. The AI coach only draws from existing Homebuyer Hub content and is positioned as guidance rather than financial advice, according to Coverager.
The transaction that enabled the rollout was completed in April 2026 and covers 1,584 members, including approximately 600 deferred members and around 900 pensioners and dependants.
Standard Life said the move comes ahead of Phoenix Group’s planned transition to Standard Life Plc in 2026.
