Chipotle opens at Pullman Gateway, completing eight-acre project
The mixed-use site also announced a new Pullman Park Retail Center anchored by Starbucks, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria.
Connect Commercial Real Estate reports that Pullman Gateway has reached full occupancy, completing a transformation of a long-vacant site into a mixed-use destination developed and fully leased in just over two years.
The grand opening includes a 1,500-square-foot Chipotle Mexican Grill with a drive-thru at 11211 South Corliss Avenue, marking the completion of the eight-acre development.
The celebration also highlighted plans for the next phase of local investment, with the proposed Pullman Park Retail Center, anchored by Starbucks, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria.
According to Connect Commercial Real Estate, Slim & Husky’s will open its first Chicago location, and Pullman Gateway was described as redeveloping a former Hawthorne Racecourse off-track betting facility and an underutilized parking lot, adding tenants including Chick-fil-A, Dunkin’, and Jimmy John’s, plus CTA offices supporting the Red Line Extension.
