DMND adds miner revenue sharing to its mempool transaction accelerator
The upgrade, announced Aug. 14, lets individual Stratum V2 miners control which stuck transactions get accelerated and collect the added acceleration revenue when they mine a block template containing them.
DMND said it has integrated its Mempool Accelerator with the Stratum V2 mining-pool infrastructure, aiming to add a new transaction acceleration option where miners, not pools, control prioritization.
According to Bitcoin Magazine, the Aug. 14 announcement will shift the legacy accelerator model by letting individual miners using Stratum V2 select transaction prioritization through Stratum V2, and then collect the extra revenue tied to acceleration when they mine a block template that includes accelerated transactions.
The outlet said the approach is intended to give miners direct access to revenue streams that historically went to mining pools that chose which transactions to prioritize in accelerator templates and kept the added acceleration proceeds.
Bitcoin Magazine also described Mempool Accelerator as a system that can prioritize a stuck transaction by paying an out of band fee, using prioritization above 80% of network hashrate, enabled by Stratum V2.
