ERCOT hits record hourly peak load above 91 GW on July 22
The hourly peak load reached 91.1 gigawatts on July 22, setting a new record for the ERCOT system.
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas set a new record for hourly peak load, reaching more than 91 gigawatts on July 22, according to data used for the EIA’s Hourly Electric Grid Monitor.
The reported peak load was 91.1 gigawatts, a new high for the ERCOT regional transmission organization serving most of Texas.
