Lenskart shares hit record as it incorporates a China step-down unit
The new Wenzhou Framekart entity was incorporated August 14, and BFT will hold 95% via a RMB 1 million cash investment.
Lenskart Solutions shares rose 5.5% to a record high of ₹ 640 apiece on Tuesday after the company said it incorporated a new step-down subsidiary in China.
In a regulatory filing, the company said Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co., Ltd. was incorporated on August 14, 2026, as a subsidiary of Baofeng Framekart Technology Limited (BFT), a joint venture of Lenskart Solutions. The newly incorporated entity will focus on eyewear and related optical products, including trading, importing, exporting, and procuring spectacle frames and optical products, materials, equipment, and technology for BFT and its subsidiaries, with BFT holding a 95% equity interest through a RMB 1 million cash investment.
Separately, in its Q1 earnings filing, Lenskart said its board approved increasing its stake in BFT from 51% to 70%, valuing the additional acquisition at around RMB 7.5 million, or approximately ₹ 10.6 crore.
Lenskart also reported Q1 FY27 results showing net profit of ₹ 228 crore, up from ₹ 61 crore a year earlier, while revenue from operations rose 43.3% year over year to ₹ 2,714.18 crore, helped by growth in both its India and international businesses.
