Metaplanet to move into the US with a $132M Bitcoin treasury deal

Japan's Metaplanet is launching a US presence through a Bitcoin treasury deal valued at $132 million, according to Decrypt.

The Tokyo-listed company plans to seed a gaming media company, Super League, which is expected to be renamed Superplanet and trade under the ticker SUPA.

Under the deal structure described by Decrypt, Metaplanet will put 2,100 bitcoin into the treasury as part of the transaction.
