Paramount seeks $1.88 billion bond as WBD merger faces delay
The company has agreed to push the WBD deal timeline out to as late as June 2027 while state attorneys general take their case to trial.
Paramount is seeking a $1.88 billion bond from state attorneys general to help cover costs tied to a delay in its proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, according to CNBC Markets.
The parties have agreed to move the target closing date to as late as June 2027 as the state AGs' case proceeds toward trial.
CNBC World reported that the bond request is intended to address financial exposure stemming from the extended timeline for the WBD merger.
