Perdue Farms appoints Drew Getty as executive vice president and GC
Getty succeeds Herb Frerichs, Perdue said, with Frerichs set to retire after a transition period.
Perdue Farms has named Drew Getty as executive vice president and general counsel, effective immediately, after he previously held a range of legal and compliance roles at the company since 2012, World Grain reports. Getty will report directly to CEO Kevin Adams and will also serve on the company’s management committee.
The appointment follows a succession planning process Perdue said has been underway for the past two years. World Grain reports Getty will lead Perdue’s legal function and act as a strategic adviser to the management committee and company leaders on legal and business risk management, governance, and compliance.
Perdue said Getty will continue to lead environmental and sustainability efforts. World Grain also notes the role is a successor to Herb Frerichs, Perdue’s first general counsel, who will retire following a transition period.
