Seltzer Group Partners acquires Trego Insurance Agency
The deal, which is set to close in Q3 2025 pending regulatory approvals, adds Trego’s team and capabilities in Berks County and brings in Cole, Paine & Carlin Insurance Agency.
Seltzer Group Partners has acquired Trego Insurance Agency to expand its footprint in Pennsylvania’s Berks County, where the buyer already serves clients. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close in Q3 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals, according to Coverager.
Trego Insurance Agency, founded in 2020 and led by Steve Trego, provides commercial and personal insurance across Pennsylvania and several neighboring states. Trego joined Keystone as a Network Partner in 2020, while Seltzer operates as a Keystone Platform Partner.
Coverager reports that the acquisition is designed to give Seltzer a physical presence in Berks County and to add Trego’s team and insurance capabilities. In connection with the deal, Harris, CEO of Keystone Platform Partner Arnold Insurance, will step into a newly created role immediately.
The transaction also includes Cole, Paine & Carlin Insurance Agency, Inc. (CPC), which will join Ascent Insurance Group. Seltzer, founded in 1948, provides personal and commercial insurance solutions across Pennsylvania.
