Tudor Investment adds to iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF holdings
Hedge fund Tudor Investment raised its IBIT share count to 688,529 by end of June, after cutting the amount of its IBIT call options exposure by about 85%.
Paul Tudor Jones' Tudor Investment increased its bitcoin exposure via BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, reversing a reduction from the prior quarter, according to reporting by The Street and based on Tudor's latest 13F filing.
Tudor held 688,529 shares of the ETF at the end of June, worth about $22.9 million. That compares with 579,083 shares three months earlier, an increase of 109,446 shares during the second quarter.
Alongside the higher ETF holdings, Tudor reduced its exposure through IBIT call options. The fund cut the number of underlying shares represented by its reported call options from 998,000 to 148,000, while keeping its put position.
The report said the moves point to reshaping the hedge fund's overall bitcoin exposure by trimming a sizable options position and adding to direct ETF holdings. Tudor's IBIT position remains below its end-2024 peak, when it held more than 8 million shares.
