Analysts say US could become more open to affordable Chinese EV brands

SCMP Economy reports analysts expect more consumer demand for lower-priced EVs to push US market access for Chinese brands within a few years despite existing trade barriers.

Analysts told SCMP Economy that consumer demand for affordable electric vehicles could lead to the US opening up more to Chinese EV brands within the next few years.

The outlet said Chinese manufacturers currently face trade barriers, but analysts expect those obstacles to be outweighed as buyers increasingly look for lower-priced EV options.
