Antares Global names Mat Storr head of reinsurance

Antares Global has promoted Mat Storr to Head of Reinsurance, with the executive reporting directly to Martin Campbell, Chief Underwriting Officer and Active Underwriter, Reinsurance News reports.

Storr previously served as Class Underwriter, Property Treaty, for the re/insurer for the past four years, and his new remit includes guiding development of Antares Global’s reinsurance portfolio and strategy for AMAL Syndicate 1274, while working with teams across the business to strengthen broker relationships.

The promotion follows Storr’s more than 15 years of experience in treaty underwriting, portfolio building, and management, including prior roles as Head of International Treaty at Agora Syndicate 3268 and a leadership position at IQUW 1856 building a treaty portfolio from the first year of operations, Reinsurance News said.

In comments on the appointment, Campbell cited Storr’s contributions since joining the business in 2022, saying his leadership and focus on strengthening the firm’s reinsurance capabilities helped drive the promotion.
