Progressive expands college football branding through Learfield deal

The agreement places Progressive at 13 universities and is designed to help customers move from buying an RV to purchasing insurance.

Progressive announced an expanded investment in college athletics via a new agreement with Learfield, a media and technology company for college sports.

The partnership brings Progressive on-field branding to 13 universities, including Boise State, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest.

Progressive’s national presence will also be supported by in-game videoboard features, in-venue LED signage, and digital and social media integrations, with activations planned before kickoff, during games and after the final whistle, according to Coverager.

The companies said the program is intended to make it easier for customers to transition from purchasing an RV to securing insurance, and Progressive framed the move as a way to support student-athletes while creating a branded viewing experience for fans.
