RockRose Risk raises $12.5m to integrate wildfire mitigation with insurance

The Series A round, co-led by Crosslink Capital and Congruent Ventures, will back a platform that ties property assessments and mitigation work to insurance outcomes.

RockRose Risk, an insurance brokerage focused on wildfire risk and mitigation for property owners, has secured $12.5 million in a Series A to expand into a broader property risk management platform, according to Reinsurance News.

The company said the new capital will help it combine property assessments, wildfire mitigation, and insurance in one business. RockRose Risk also plans to acquire service providers such as tree trimming and roofing, aiming to let customers access assessment, physical mitigation, and coverage through a single provider.

RockRose Risk said its approach is designed to connect a property’s physical condition more directly to its insurance position. It assesses wildfire exposure, identifies mitigation measures, and uses that information as part of the insurance process, with the company adding that it currently serves commercial property owners and homeowners in wildfire-prone parts of California, Colorado, and Nevada.

The funding comes as wildfire pressure mounts in the western US, with RockRose Risk citing National Interagency Fire Center figures that acreage burned in 2026 has already surpassed the full 2025 total, and it said insurance non-renewals have risen across parts of California, Colorado, and Nevada.
