Shiprocket IPO set to list today as grey market premium stays near ₹37
The IPO is expected to list around ₹134 per share, about 38.1% above the ₹97 issue price, with the grey-market premium moving between ₹14 and ₹37 over the past 13 sessions.
Shiprocket Limited is scheduled to begin trading on the BSE and NSE on Wednesday, 19 August, with listings set for a special pre-open session at 10:00 IST. The allotment was finalized on Monday, 17 August, and BSE details say the shares will be permitted for trading in the 'B' Group of Securities.
Ahead of the listing, market observers pegged Shiprocket’s grey market premium at ₹37. Based on the upper end of the IPO price band, the estimated listing price is about ₹134 per share, which is 38.14% above the ₹97 IPO price.
LiveMint Markets reports that the grey market premium has shown an upward trend on the day after fluctuating between ₹14 and ₹37 across the past 13 sessions. The story also cites Mahesh M. Ojha of Kantilal Chhaganlal Securities saying Shiprocket is a high-growth commerce-enablement platform that remains loss-making but has improved its financial performance.
Ojha noted revenue growth of a 40% CAGR between FY24 and FY26, alongside narrowing operating losses, while highlighting that the company is still loss-making at EBITDA and PAT levels, making P/E based valuation metrics less suitable. At the upper price band, the post-issue market capitalization is estimated at about ₹7,058 crore, implying roughly a 30% discount to a last reported private-market valuation of about ₹10,000 crore.
