Structured credit focus grows as rate uncertainty persists

Guggenheim Securitized Income ETF, GISC, reported a 30-day SEC yield of 5.18% as of July 31, 2026.

ETF Trends argues that investors facing near term uncertainty around Federal Reserve rate policy may find structured credit an attractive part of fixed income allocations, citing the backdrop of persistent inflation and the July CPI report that boosted expectations inflation could cool.

The outlet says some structured credit instruments, including collateralized loan obligations, are floating rate securities, which can mean less sensitivity to interest rate moves than more traditional parts of the bond market.

For investors seeking structured credit exposure through an ETF, ETF Trends points to the Guggenheim Securitized Income ETF, GISC, which invests across areas of structured credit such as CLOs and asset backed securities, and uses active management to adjust allocations to the rate environment.

ETF Trends also highlights that GISC’s early track record is aimed at delivering yield while inflation and interest rates remain in flux, noting a 30 day SEC yield of 5.18% as of July 31, 2026.
