Tempsens Instruments IPO grey market premium rises to 175 ahead of listing
The ₹650 crore offering opens for subscription on 20 August and closes on 24 August, with an estimated listing price of ₹475 based on the current premium.
LiveMint Markets says the Tempsens Instruments IPO grey market premium stands at +175, signaling strong investor interest ahead of the subscription window. The company is a thermal engineering and cable solutions provider, and it describes itself as India’s largest manufacturer of contact and non-contact temperature sensors by revenue.
The IPO is set to open on 20 August and close on 24 August, with a fixed price band of ₹285 to ₹300 per equity share of face value ₹4. Based on the premium and assuming the upper end of the price band, the estimated listing price is about ₹475 per share.
Tempsens Instruments plans to use IPO funds for capital expenditures and debt repayments, according to LiveMint Markets. The outlet also notes promoters hold an 80.51% stake, with WhiteOak Capital holding 2.5%, and cites the company’s FY26 financials: profit rose 13.6% year over year to ₹71.1 crore, while revenue from operations increased 17.5% to ₹444.9 crore.
The outlet adds that grey market trends over the past five sessions show the premium rising, with fluctuations between ₹65 and ₹175, and explains that the grey market premium reflects investor willingness to pay above the issue price. The IPO lot size is 50 equity shares, in multiples of 50 thereafter.
