Allstate estimates $682m in catastrophe losses for July 2026

The estimate covers 23 events, with about 75% tied to two wind and hail events, and it follows June’s $563m catastrophe loss estimate.

Allstate Corp. has estimated catastrophe losses of $682 million for July 2026, which translates to $539 million after tax, according to Reinsurance News. The company said the July estimate includes 23 events.

Reinsurance News reports that roughly 75% of the losses are related to two wind and hail events. Allstate’s July estimate is higher than its June catastrophe loss figure of $563 million, or $445 million after tax.

For comparison, Allstate estimated catastrophe losses for July 2025 at $184 million, or $145 million after tax, driven by 19 wind and hail events, Reinsurance News said. The outlet also noted that Allstate recently estimated total catastrophe losses for the second quarter of 2026 at $1.72 billion, or $1.36 billion after tax.

Reinsurance News added that Allstate’s second-quarter 2026 results showed total revenues rising 11.8% year over year to $18.6 billion, while net income applicable to common shareholders increased 55.9% to $3.2 billion.
