Bitdeer lands $400M five-year AI contract for Malaysia data center

The deal covers about half of Bitdeer AI's A102 capacity, expected to start generating revenue in the first quarter of 2027, and Bitdeer said it will not contribute revenue this year.

Bitdeer Technologies Group said its Bitdeer AI unit has secured a five-year contract for its A102 AI data center in Malaysia, covering roughly half of the facility before the site is energized, according to Yahoo Finance. The customer was not named, but Bitdeer described it as having high credit quality.

The agreement commits the customer to about 50% of A102's 9.5-megawatt capacity, and Bitdeer expects the contract to generate about $400 million in revenue over five years. Bitdeer added that the contract is not expected to contribute revenue during 2026.

A102 is described as a high-density computing facility using liquid cooling to support NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems. Services are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, when Bitdeer anticipates recognizing revenue and related costs.

Bitdeer said it is targeting 350MW of AI cloud data center capacity by the first quarter of 2028, with A102 accounting for 9.5MW. Yahoo Finance also noted Bitdeer has said its AI cloud pipeline has exceeded $2 billion, and it is pursuing additional capacity across its portfolio as negotiations continue for the remaining A102 space and other sites.
