CRC Group creates enterprise transformation office to unify data and AI

The office is led by Matt Spriggs, with Jason Dufner promoted to chief information officer, as CRC integrates its REDY data platform across business units after its 2024 separation and rebranding.

CRC Group has launched a newly created enterprise Transformation Management Office to consolidate the wholesale specialty distributor's data, artificial intelligence, and technology strategy across its businesses, with company leadership saying it is central to how it plans to compete going forward.

Insurance Business reports that Matt Spriggs will lead the office in a newly created chief enterprise transformation officer role, while Jason Dufner has been promoted to chief information officer to oversee CRC’s information technology organization.

The announcement arrives about 18 months after CRC fully separated from Truist Financial and followed a period of ownership and portfolio changes, including a May 2024 acquisition of what was then Truist Insurance Holdings for $15.5 billion by Stone Point Capital, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, and Mubadala Investment Company.

CRC says its proprietary REDY data and analytics platform will be deployed more broadly across the enterprise alongside AI tools and its proprietary capital vehicles, and that the new office is meant to coordinate existing capabilities rather than introduce technology from scratch.
