ID Logistics pays $2.36M to settle alleged ineligible PPP claim
The DOJ said ID Logistics US submitted a PPP application certifying fewer than 500 employees with affiliates, despite having more than 500 employees.
France-based contract logistics provider ID Logistics Group SA agreed to pay $2.36 million to resolve allegations that its U.S. subsidiary improperly obtained a Paycheck Protection Program loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration during the COVID-19 crisis, despite not being eligible.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, ID Logistics US applied for the PPP loan by certifying that it and its affiliates had fewer than 500 employees, while the office said it actually had more than 500 employees. The CARES Act created forgivable PPP loans for small businesses, with forgiveness subject to using proceeds for eligible expenses.
The fraudulent loan application was flagged by a whistleblower, who will receive $236,200 from the settlement, according to the Department of Justice. DOJ described the application as certifying eligibility requirements tied to employee counts across domestic and foreign affiliates.
The outlet also noted that ID Logistics operates in 20 countries and runs 107 million square feet of distribution space across 450 sites, with about 55,000 employees. It reported 2025 revenue of $4.43 billion, and first-half 2026 revenue of $2.4 billion, up more than 18% year over year, according to the company.
