Transamerica individual life sales jump 54% in first half 2026

The insurer also said it is scaling instant-decision underwriting and that World Financial Group surpassed 100,000 licensed agents.

Insurance Business reports Transamerica, Aegon’s US life and retirement operation, grew individual life sales 54% in the first half of 2026 versus the same period in 2025.

The outlet links the growth to Transamerica’s push to offer same-sitting coverage decisions for eligible life applications, using digital underwriting to reduce medical underwriting delays that can slow purchases.

It also highlights distribution momentum, saying World Financial Group, Transamerica’s affiliated agent network, surpassed 100,000 licensed agents, up from roughly 95,000 at the end of 2025.

Insurance Business adds that the same underwriting infrastructure built for instant-decision life is intended to support broader digital distribution across Transamerica’s Protection Solutions, including term life, whole life, universal life, indexed universal life, and living benefit riders that cover long-term care costs.
