Insurance Business America names top US insurance employers for 2026
To make the 2026 list, companies had to post an average employee satisfaction rating of at least 75% in an anonymous survey.
Insurance Business America has published its Top Insurance Employers 2026 special report, naming insurance companies and agencies in the United States that met the publication’s employee satisfaction threshold for inclusion.
The ranking covers a wide range of organizations, including a large national wholesale brokerage with about 4,000 employees and headquartered outside Chicago, and a smaller 67-person retail agency in Springfield, Missouri, founded in 1885.
The methodology is based on information supplied by participating employers and feedback from their employees, collected through an anonymous survey. The survey evaluates views on compensation, benefits, workplace culture, employee development, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and overall engagement.
Organizations seeking consideration were required to complete an employer form covering benefits, programs, and workplace practices, and employees then responded to the survey, with response minimums that varied by company size. Insurance Business America said all organizations on the list achieved an average satisfaction rating of at least 75% among their own employees.
