Hong Kong caps access to Sai Kung High Island Geo Trail at 2,000 daily
The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department will require real-name registration for the Po Pin Chau section starting next month, citing holiday spikes that left parts of the trail near saturation.
Hong Kong authorities will limit daily access to the Po Pin Chau section of the High Island Geo Trail in Sai Kung East Country Park, a move intended to manage crowding on a narrow coastal route with sea views of hexagonal rock formations.
According to SCMP Economy, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department will cap entry at 2,000 people per day during several stretches from next month and will require real-name registration for visitors.
