Paramount and California to hold preliminary talks on Warner Bros deal
The early discussions aim to help resolve a lawsuit filed by California and 11 other states seeking to block Paramount’s $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.
The New York Times reports that Paramount and the state of California will hold preliminary talks on Monday related to Paramount’s planned acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.
The talks are intended as an early step toward resolving a lawsuit brought by California and 11 other states that is aimed at stopping the roughly $111 billion deal.
According to the report, the lawsuit challenges the acquisition and the parties are using these initial discussions to try to find a path forward.
