Powerus wins $22.3 million counter-drone contract for Middle East oil sites
The deal includes hardware, software, installation, and a 24-month integrated maintenance program for counter-unmanned aircraft system coverage across energy infrastructure.
U.S.-based Autonomous Power Corporation, which operates as Powerus, has signed a commercial contract worth about $22.3 million to supply counter-unmanned aircraft system technology for critical oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East, according to Yahoo Finance.
The agreement covers hardware and software, site activation and installation, plus a 24-month integrated maintenance program. Powerus said the system will be deployed in phases based on customer operational requirements and will provide centralized detection, tracking, and classification of potential drone threats.
The company said command-and-control capabilities will be located at the customer’s operations center, with an initial focus on early warning to support threat assessment and operational and safety decisions.
Powerus also said the architecture is designed to accommodate its Guardian interceptor technology in the future, potentially expanding the system beyond detection and warning toward broader counter-UAS capability. Yahoo Finance also noted that Powerus is combining with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc., with the SEC declaring the registration statement effective on August 12, 2026, and the companies expecting completion in early October, subject to closing conditions.
