Accelerant expands “Nest” insurance platform filings, adding AI tools
The new trademark filing broadens Nest to include SaaS and AI for underwriting, claims, and managing insurance and reinsurance data.
Accelerant is building a new insurance platform under the “Nest” brand, according to U.S. trademark filings first highlighted by Coverager. The company filed for “Accelerant Nest” with a stylized “N” logo in September 2025, covering insurance lead generation and agent referrals, data analysis, brokerage and administration, reciprocal exchange services, and underwriting across all lines.
Coverager reports Accelerant later submitted an application for “Nest Insurance” on August 14, expanding the scope beyond insurance services to include software offerings such as SaaS and platform-as-a-service, plus AI tools. The filings describe technology intended to help manage insurance products, managing general agents, reinsurance, underwriting, claims, and risks and related data.
The filings also suggest the company could bring distribution, underwriting, reciprocal exchange capabilities, and technology together in one platform, Coverager said. Accelerant had not publicly announced the offering and no dedicated Nest website appeared to be live.
Coverager adds that Accelerant class A and class B stockholders are expected to receive $20.25 per share in cash, WoodStar is expected to begin writing meaningful direct business on the Accelerant Risk Exchange in 2027, and Hippo is expected to serve as a fronting carrier for more than $500 million in annual gross written premiums across Accelerant's U.S. portfolio in 2027. The filing materials also name Bridge Specialty Group and Accelerant as supporting distribution, underwriting capacity, and risk analytics.
