Four Indian top-10 firm valuations fall by ₹87,960 crore in a week
Bharti Airtel was the biggest loser, with its valuation down ₹28,053 crore to ₹12,14,963 crore as Sensex and Nifty weakened last week.
India’s combined market valuation of four of the 10 most valued companies fell by ₹87,960.29 crore last week, according to LiveMint Markets, with Bharti Airtel seeing the largest decline.
The Sensex dropped 468.42 points, or 0.60%, while the Nifty fell 114 points, or 0.46%, as investors remained cautious amid elevated crude oil prices, rising global bond yields, and persistent geopolitical uncertainty.
Bharti Airtel’s market cap declined ₹28,052.96 crore to ₹12,14,963.15 crore, while TCS fell ₹22,070.34 crore to ₹8,31,436.51 crore, State Bank of India dropped ₹20,861.20 crore to ₹9,64,968.76 crore, and Hindustan Unilever decreased ₹16,975.79 crore to ₹4,73,912.56 crore.
In contrast, Life Insurance Corporation of India’s valuation rose ₹12,650 crore to ₹5,35,980.31 crore, while Reliance Industries gained ₹8,119.53 crore to ₹17,78,175.59 crore and Larsen & Toubro climbed ₹3,487.83 crore to ₹5,62,460.94 crore. Bajaj Finance edged up ₹3,424.28 crore to ₹6,80,621.62 crore.
